Progress

Well, here's a beautiful picture of our little fetus at only 7 weeks old.
And such a development 2 weeks later!
But this is definitely my favorite.  I love his little profile.  So cute!  I can't wait until he's here to see what he'll really look like!
He's been kicking around quite a bit.  I notice it consistently when I lay down for bed at night.  That's usually the only time he isn't squished.  I love feeling him kick and squirm around!

And the verdict is...

Well, 7 of you that voted were correct.  We are having a BOY!!!  I'm super excited!  When I first thought about having a boy, I didn't really get excited.  But then I realized, it's still going to be fun to shop and get cute little outfits.  My other kids will have an older brother, like I did.  We'll have the first grandson to carry on the Nesbit name.  Plus he'll be super studly, so what's not to love?  I'll scan in the ultra sounds and post them later.  So until then, feel free to post any cute boy names.  That will be the hard part!

THE VOTE

Well folks.... It's time for a vote.  Luke and I will be finding out the gender of our child next Tuesday.  So it's time to decide.
Will I be dressing a studly little boy???
Or a sweet adorable girl???

Rock Climbing

Our neighbors have gottne pretty into rock climbing, and since it's something we like to do anyway, we usually all go together.  There are some great canyons here in Cache Valley for rock climbing and we've had a couple great weekends so far.
Here's Luke giving me strange looks before he made his climb up the wall.
He was successful, as always.
Here's Dustin at the top of a different climb.  He got the rope hooked in at the top and then had to repell down.  He was a little worried about coming over that first ledge.  He was brave though and made it with no problems.
Here's talented Hope talking on the phone while climbing.  I never knew she had that sort of talent.
Macie is even a natural at climbing, just like her mom Hope.  Look at that grip of death!  Such a pro.
Brighton even wanted in on some of the fun.  Anything to be next to his girlfriend, Macie.
I usually don't climb since I'm not sure if it's OK while being prego.  I keep forgetting to ask when I go to the doctor.  I have still have fun hanging out with the gals, Hope and Angela.
I even got a new hair-do while everyone else was climbing.  It was well worth it.

Camping Weekend

We took full advantage of the long weekend this year.  Work has been crazy busy and it was so nice to get away from the world for a few days and enjoy nature.  We went camping in Idaho with some friends and had a blast.  We had some nice sunny weather and a couple crazy rain storms.  Here's a peek of our adventures:
Luke rock climbing.  He made it to the top.  GO LUKE!!!!
Ignore the fact that Luke is standing awkwardly - this is the only picture of us together.
Fence golf.  This turned out to be a big hit and I almost peed my pants while playing.  You would think I would've learned my lesson from my grandmother.
Bike riding.  It's been a while since I've ridden a bike, but as the saying goes, "It's like riding a bike, you never forget how to do it" (or something like that).
Here's our little campsite.  We had some pro fire-makers which was very handy since the mornings were a little nippy.
And here's just some beautiful pictures of our surroundings for your viewing pleasure.

This was after our camping adventures were over, but still a beautiful sight.  It was even more enjoyable after a shower and indoor plumbing :)
We'll definitely have to break out the tent again soon.  If anyone wants to come next time, let us know and we'll have a grand ole time.

Its about time!!!

I officially have 5 minutes to sit down and make a post.  Life has been crazy busy and any spare moment that I have, I'm usually not blogging.  Here's a quick catch-up of the past month for us.  Make sure to read to the end.

We celebrated Easter at my Grandparents house with all my cousins - most of them anyway.  Here's Scott sporting his fantastic find.
My mother and I celebrated our birthdays! YEA!  I'm now the big 2-4! Mom is now... just kidding, we won't expose that.  My birthday was great!  My family came up to have dinner, open presents and have a fun night of Guitar Hero.  It was a day spent in great company.
On my mom's birthday, Steve proposed to his sweetheart, Kristen.  It was well disguised since she thought they were all going out to dinner for my mom.  What a surprise that ended up being!  I'm super excited for September 17th to roll around.
After 6 months, I finally got my hair cut and colored again and I love it!  This is Hope, my cute neighbor, and I showing off our new do's.
And for the announcement you've all been waiting for.....
I'M PREGNANT!!!!!  We are due the first week of November and we are so excited!!! I'm through the first trimester, which wasn't that bad.  Hopefully it stays that way.  We'll find out what we're having in 6 weeks.  I can hardly wait!!! I think it will a lot more real at that point!

Well that's all for now.  I had to throw in a picture of the cat, since I know you've been missing Monster.  She fell asleep while playing with her toy.  So cute!

My new pets

So I decided to add some fun colors to our bleak home.  I figured cacti would be a good option since I wouldn't have to water them very often.  That gives them a better chance of survival.

Can you see the little black menace there in the background?  I woke up in the morning to find....
... all the tops of this plant eaten off.  Silly me, I thought a cactus would keep the cats away!  Hopefully it will grow back.
I got this one because it's bubbly and looks like grapes.  So far, the cats don't like it.
And this one should be free and clear from the cats since the pokey's probably don't feel very good going down.
So we'll see if I can keep these little guys alive.
