A new Friend

We brought a little friend home for Mow-Mow on Saturday. Luke was actually the one convincing me this time to get another cat. Mow-Mow really enjoys the company.
We haven't really picked a name yet. We might go with Shadow, because she is a little shadow. She thinks she's the same size as Mow-Mow and always instigates wrestling, which looks a lot like fighting.

We're thinking of naming her Monster as well. She is a little naughty pants, but she's so cute that it's hard to get mad. I mean, look at that face!
I think she looks like a little skunk in this one, so maybe we'll go with Skunkie.
She's slightly narcaleptic and will pretty much fall asleep anywhere. We had to pull her out of the window sill because she fell alseep sitting up and about tipped over the edge. Little kitties are so cute!

Derby Time

The demolition derby came to town again. It was a joyous occation and those of you who did not come, missed out on and eveing of excitement, destruction and fame. Mater from "Cars" was there. Lightening McQueen came too, but they said we couldn't take pictures. Bummer.
I really wanted to see this van crash, but it couldn't get started once it was out in the arena. It would have been awesome to see it flip over!

My aunt, Jamie, came up from Lehi with her husband and four boys. They love the derby and are making an annual trip to Logan for the festivities. Tyler and Lindsey and her friends from high school, Jalene and Kristin, came too.
Steve was here with his girlfriend, Kristin - different Kristin than the one mentioned above. It was fun to have them up for the weekend. I really like the faces we are getting in the background of this picture.

Rainy Days

I love rainy days! I know this is kind of late, but it was rainy on Labor Day in Logan. I had a wonderfully relaxing day doing puzzles, listening to the rain and thunder, and watching movies.

New Discovery

Mow-Mow has somewhat overcome her fear of water. We still haven't convinced her that it would be fun to take a bath, but she has become interested in the shower. Luke was in there the other day and called me in. Mow-Mow discovered that she can go between the curtain the liner and stay dry.

I'm just waiting for the day when she loses her balance and falls in. That will teach her a lesson. For those that come to our house, be sure to close the bathroom door when you shower or you may have a visitor.

When are Hobbit tryouts?

Luke twisted his ankle playing raquetball last week. We had some pretty awesome swelling. Can you see the purple bruising by his heel?
Don't you think he would be great for a hobbit in the next Lord of the Rings? Well, maybe just his left foot. I know it's mean to laugh, but sometimes just sitting there, I would look at his foot and couldn't help but laugh out loud. Don't worry, he is getting better.
