Dax is getting to the age where sitting is desirable. I however, don't have a desire to spend $40 on one of these. Does anyone have one that they would be willing to loan me for a few months? Or if anyone knows of a way to get them cheaper, let me know. Thanks!

They totally are a ton of money but I used it as a high chair for both of my kids until they were about 10 months or so and then I just bought a $10 booster seat at Walmart that sat on a chair around our dining table, so I figured I saved money not buying a high chair at all. That's how I justified buying it. I'd let you use mine but probably not worthing the shipping. Good luck!
Ok, so these are totally worth the $40. My sister-in-law has six-month old twins, and these are a life saver. They can sit in them on the counter to eat, then they can sit in them in the living room to play, one can sit it in while the other is getting changed, etc. She uses them ALL over, and they are easy to transport and travel with which is nice. The only downside to them is that they don't have a tray, but I think they're totally worth it. Maybe look on KSL or Craig's list?
We loved our bumbo. We bought it off amazon for $20 and it came with a tray, which is great because you can put toys on there and feed them in it too. Jane still sits in it on occasion (on the floor) and she is almost 16 months. It is also great to be able to take places you know don't have baby seats. You do have to watch them if they don't have chunky thighs because they can lean back and get out. Jane didn't do that till she was lots older than Dax though. It is so hard to know what to buy!

Totally worth the 40 dollars. I would try amazon too though and see if you can get it cheaper. We LOVE our bumbo. It is way nice to have. I love that it is small and I can bring it to me when we go places that Ryland wouldn't be able to sit up in anything but his bumbo. He loves to sit in it outside while we are doing things. They really are so nice to have. P.S. I love the updated pictures of Dax, what a cutie! Seriously, we need to have a play date so I can meet this little stud! :)
