Some fun in the sun... and shade

Luke's family was here a couple weekends ago and we met them in Bear Lake for some fun in the sun.  The weather was perfect!  Here's some pictures of our fun.
After spending some time at the lake, we picked raspberries in Claudia's garden.  Do you think we picked enough?  The best part about picking fresh raspberries is eating the raspberries!  They are like candy!  I think I had an overload on raspberries, but they were so DELICIOUS!
Then we had a nice relaxing evening sitting by the fire and the river.
One of Luke's typical picture faces:

Then this weekend, Luke and I went to Bear Lake again for a relaxing weekend getaway.  Unfortunately the weather wasn't so perfect as last time.  It actually started raining on us, but we still had some fun.  Luke sported some mad skills on the knee board.
And here's a couple pictures of Macie, because she's so dang cute!

Happy Birthday Cyrus

Cyrus was here for his 9th birthday.  So we gathered the family and had a celebration!
I love the excitement!
Luke is practicing for all the baby-holding he'll be getting to do in a few months!
Believe it or not, Cyrus can fit in his baby brothers car seat.  Oh how I wish my hips were that small!

24th of July Festivities

Again, I'm posting a little late, but better late than never.
We spent the day at my parents house and it was so nice to be able to relax and not feel like we had to go anywhere or do anything.  I love days like that.  We broke out the croquette and Luke ended up winning.
While everyone else was playing croquette, my mom and I washed my car and vacuumed inside.  I love having a clean car!  Too bad it never stays that way for long.
And what kind of family gathering would it be if we didn't try a jumping picture.  I opted out of jumping this time and let everyone else look silly.
As dusk was approaching, we all got ready for fireworks.  It's amazing how much fun you can have with sparklers.

Happy (late) 24th of July!

Girls Camp 2009

I know I'm pretty late in posting this, since it happened in June, but since I've been a blog slacker, this is what you'll get.  We went to Camp Lomia up Logan Canyon.
It was really a lot of fun to hang out with the young women and get to know them better.  We had to put up with some crummy weather, but we still found fun things to do.  The clouds in the mountains made me feel like I was in the Twilight movies!  Very exciting.

We snapped this of most of the girls when there wasn't too much rain.

Our young woman President twisted her ankle pretty good the first day.  It swelled up nicely.  I was the lucky one that got to drive her to the emergency room.  Lots of fun for day #1.
The easiest way to get her around after that was in the wheel barrow.  It sure was quick, but she didn't like the extra attention.
Finally on the last day, the weather was nice enough that we went on a hike and had some fun playing games and goofing around.

Cat-sitting

We watched a kitten for a couple in our ward.  They have been nice enough to feed our cats when we've been out of town, so it was time to return the favor.
Meet Cody:
He's only about 4 months old and was cute as can be.  He enjoyed our cats company, when they let him near them, but I think he enjoyed us more.  His first experience with other cats wasn't so great, so he was a little defensive, which my cats didn't like.  After a few days, they got used to each other though.
Mow-Mow mostly kept to herself.  She didn't much care for Cody.  Well, now we know that it's not the best idea to mix cats that are established and set in their ways.  Next time we'll just go over to their house to feed him.
